Ordered a super burrito and chips and salsa through DoorDash. The chips were super greasy, but the salsa (pico de gallo) was so good I didn't care. It was the best I've had in recent memory. I can't handle jalapeños, and was glad there weren't any in the salsa. The carne asada super burrito tasted good, but would have been better if it had been a bit warmer. It was big and I could only eat half of it. Again it was nice there were no jalapeños, plus I was able to select "no beans" when ordering off the DoorDash menu.
I haven't had Iguanas in a few years, there is plenty of parking around (street of course!) and tables. You have an option to sit outside or inside. The burritos are just as good as I remembered it, I wouldn't say its the best in SJ but good enough to compete. Their carne asada is seasoned well but if you are expecting the seasoning to be Taqueria level, meh. Overall good experience
Great carne asada super burrito! I like the balance of the ingredients (there's not too much rice or beans). I also like the green zilla sauce, it went well with the burrito. I think the orange zilla sauce is okay, it was a little too creamy in an aioli type of way to me, and I personally don't like aioli much. We asked them to grill the burrito so the tortilla would be crispy outside but it wasn't that crispy. I could have done with a lot more brown and crispiness on the outside. The ambiance was chill, the staff is nice and friendly, and there's nice music playing.
Good, quick food. Good music playing. Friendly cashier. The dining area was a little bit run down but maybe thats part of the charm. Good veggie options. Adding some vegan "impossible" meat or something similar is my only request.
